Tank defect assessment and repair procedure for non compliant defects to API 653

Defects in a tank shell and floor plate were assessed against API 653. Detailed repair procedures were developed for defects that required repair.

Pressure Vessel - Design

A design of a pressure vessel required thermal and pressure analyses, considering complicated geometries.

Design of a Powdered Solids Blow Pot including dynamic loading nozzle due to the activation of a Pressure Relief Valve

A blow pot replacement design was developed to AS1210-1997. Analysis included a dynamic Caesar II model of the transient effect of activation of the PRV.

High Energy Piping Assessment

The high energy piping of one unit of a power station was assessed using Caesar II. 'As designed' and 'as is' assessments were carried out, looking for fatigue and creep hot spots. The geometry of latter was determined by a positional survey by a third party under guidance from K.J. Beer.

API 650 Tanks

Design and detail drafting of 26 API Tanks for a Nickel refinery.

Thinning assessment of Sand Separator

Localised thinning of a conical section of a sand separator was assessed to AS1210-1997 using FEA.
